
Climate: The climate is hot and humid, with sunny days and cool nights, with rains from November to April.

Machu Picchu (Quechua Machu pikchu, "Old Mountain"), also called the "Lost City of the Incas", it is one of the greatest architectural works by the Incas, Peru and archaeological wonder of the world declared by UNESCO (one 983) "Cultural Heritage" for its architectural and landscape features, and recently voted "New Wonder of the World" (July 7, 2007).
It built in the fifteenth century and is attributed to the Inca Pachacutec. The archaeological site is divided into two main areas covering approximately 20 acres. The agricultural sector, which is south, has terraces built on the slopes of the mountains that reach up to 4 meters high.
The urban sector or citadel is one where lived their occupants and where main civil and religious activities were developed, consists of several buildings and plazas, among which are the so-called Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana or Solar Observatory, the Temple Three Windows, the Main Temple and the Condor Sector. Also there is an impressive monolith carved from 3 meters high and 7 meters of base, known as the sacred rock.
